Lawrence + Memorial Emergency Department
With locations to serve your medical needs in New London and Groton, our compassionate teams of providers use state-of-the-art technology and processes to ensure high level of care and speedy delivery of services. All of our physicians are board certified in Emergency Medicine and many of our nurses are certified in emergency nursing. And, both sites utilize Physician-in-Triage and FastER Care to treat patients.

Physician-In-Triage:
The Emergency Department at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital offers an innovative approach to greeting and treating patients right as they arrive. During the hours of 11a-11p, patients arriving to the Emergency Department will be assessed by a Physician and a Nurse in the triage area. Tests and minor treatments and medicines are ordered and administered right after the patient's arrival!
FastER Care:
The FastER care unit of Lawrence + Memorial Hospital's Emergency Department is equipped to care for patients with less acute illnesses and injuries in a competent and efficient manner. The FastER care area is open from 11am-11pm every day and is staffed by a Physician, a Physician Assistant, and a Nurse.
