Services Provided:
The Lawrence & Memorial Hospital Physician Relations Department serves as a link between the hospital and community physicians’ offices. The department provides assistance to Medical Staff and Health Professional Affiliate Staff members and their respective office staff. We provide the following resources and services.
- Routine visits to the community practices of members of the Lawrence & Memorial Hospital Medical Staff by Donna Schneider to solicit input on hospital operations to enhance the efficiency of the community practiceMonthly educational programs for medical staff and professional affiliate staff and their office managers/billing staff on topics such as managed care changes; risk management; CPT coding and reimbursement guidelines; roundtables with managed care payors in our state; overview of L&M departments and services.(Link to monthly list of programs and registration form)
- Quarterly Office Manager Forums to share ideas and common concerns.
- Monthly outreach visits to individual medical staff and affiliate professional staff offices by Bruce Cummings, L&M Hospital President and CEO.
- Serving as a resource for questions regarding Lawrence & Memorial Hospital services and operations.
- Providing general managed care information to physician offices, as requested.
